Custom (rare) Schwinn Paramount touring bike. The Paramount was Schwinn’s top-end racing bike and hand-built in Waterloo, WI. This rare example was optioned with cantilever brakes and extra bottle cage mounts for touring (instead of the standard race-spec caliper brakes and dual bottle mounts). This is a single-owner bike and was toured across the US two times. Most components are mid-late ’70s. A custom paint job was applied in the early ’90s.
